[!Important] Innersloth, the developers of Among Us, have made changes to their server-side anticheat which may cause players to be kicked. As of right now, this change isn’t in effect, but on April 4th, 2025 (or earlier) they will put it in full effect.

To have a stable playing experience, we recommend using Modded Regions. You can get them from here. For more information, and updates on this situation, join our Discord Server.

New Roles

Jailor (Crewmate)

The Jailor can jail other players in meetings. While jailed, the player cannot vote or be voted. If the jailor votes the jailed player, they will be executed. Depending on the settings, jailor may only execute once or they may suicide if they execute a crewmate. You can also prevent jailed status from showing to everyone.

Sidekick (Neutral)

The Sidekick is on the same team as the Jackal. Under an option in Jackal, you can enable the ability for Jackal to make a player their sidekick. You can also set a required kill count. When the Jackal is ready, they can use the kill button on a player to turn them into a sidekick. This will remove their role, but they can still see old teammates if they had any. Depending on settings, Jackal may kill players instead of recruiting if they aren’t crewmate.

  • Added Message to Host/Clients about Pet Roles

  • Added 79 new hats by Cuppa Phee
  • Added warning about pets

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Blackscreen resolver caused dead Executioner to win and alive jester to not win
  • Fixed players appearing as alive if they suicided as Romantic
  • Fixed Blackscreen resolver not working correctly
  • Fixed player not appearing from center on end game screen
  • Fixed issues with Transformation/Variation Roles (/r)
  • Fixed Rogue gradient not appearing on end screen
  • Fixed certain hats not matching player color
  • Fixed Ctrl+T as Modded Client
  • Fixed Server Dropdown in Create Game Menu extending past screen boundaries

Note:

Your options will unfortunately be reset. However they aren’t deleted! If you go into BepInEx/config, you will see a Lotus folder. This holds all of your options. After running the game and closing it, you will see a folder named Preset1. Cut and paste the Lotus folder into Preset1, and replace any files. This will bring your settings over to the preset. Presets may also not work correctly on first launch. If you are having issues, please restart the game.

In-Dev Changes

  • Fixed player not appearing from center on end game screen
  • Removed Lotus-Theme Settings/Chat Icons (new update messed with these textures so they no longer work. D: )
  • Fixed RoleOptions not reflecting values from current preset
  • Game will now auto switch from Host when creating your own lobby.

Known Bugs

  • Rarely, players may blackscreen at the start of the game or after meeting. The cause of this is usually ping.
  • Sometimes, Mastermind may still kill you even if you already killed someone else.
  • Rarely, players may be teleported into walls. The cause of this is usually roles like Escapist where you mark positions too close to walls.
  • Some Shapeshifter roles, mainly FireWorks, have a bug where they appear as another player.
  • Rarely when shapeshifting, players might still have their original name.
  • Romantic’s win-condition may bug out sometimes, meaning the game might not end, or you won’t win with your partner.
  • Most translations aren’t 100% complete.

For The Future

This release is just a preview of what’s to come—we’re still actively developing new features and improvements. Here is list of things we plan to include in the future.

  • Fungle Support (you can apparently play the map right now, but there are issues so please don’t bother reporting)
  • Updating Modded Client Compatibility
  • Add more Languages
  • Add New Roles & Other Content

If you are developer, you can actually add your own content without modifying PL! We have added support for addons, and you can learn more info at this GitHub Repo! You can check out addons made by others from the #community-content forum channel.
