Role Combos (or just “Combos”) allow you to customize how roles will be assigned in-game, like blocking certain roles/modifiers from being assigned together, or forcing some roles to show up when other roles are in the game.
This is done through a simple GUI in-game, which can be accessed by pressing the Edit Combo button (bottom-left corner) while in lobby.
To create a new combo, press the Edit Combo button in the bottom-left corner of the lobby screen. This will open the Role Combo Editor.
You can then press the + Add Combo button to begin creating a new combo.
Use the search bar to select (up to) 2 roles/modifiers to add to the combo.
By selecting a role (Example: Jester), and a modifier (Example: Rogue), you can choose whether the modifier will always be given to the player assigned that role, OR if the modifier can never be assigned to anyone with that role.
- For example: Banning Rogue from Jester will prevent the Jester from being Rogue, but will still allow other players to be Rogue.
- On the other side, Forcing Rogue on Jester will make sure that the Jester is always Rogue, but will not prevent other players from being Rogue as well.
Once you’ve selected two roles, and chosen to either Force/Ban them from eachother, make sure to review the combo, then it’ll be added!
You can save up to 5 presets of combos, these are saved independently of the Settings Presets, and are stored at LOTUS_DATA/RoleComboInfo.yaml
If you think a combo of role/modifier is too strong, then you can ban them from eachother. For Example: Rogue + Jester, since it allows the Jester to kill and get voted out instantly.
